If your kids want to do something fun in the kitchen to get in the Halloween spirit, there’s a program for that.
From learning to make a 10-minute pumpkin pie dip that pairs great with apples, to putting together a five-minute bean dip that can be molded into a creepy face, an upcoming program on Friday has lots of spooky fun to dig into.
MSU Extension is hosting a Healthy Halloween Kids’ Fun Food Challenge in Cadillac for 4-H.
“They get to create both the taste and the design of what they want to do using these healthy ingredients,” JoAnne Benthum says.
It starts at 4 p.m., and kids ages 8 and up are invited.
Organizers say it’s a great chance to learn about healthy snacks that taste great.
