Police Find More than 60 Fetuses in Perry Funeral Home in Detroit

Detroit police are considering forming a new task force, specifically to target fraud and the way funeral homes store human remains.

It comes after they shut down a second funeral home because they found more than 60 fetuses in deplorable conditions.

Detroit police officers say they found 36 fetuses in cardboard boxes at Perry Funeral Home and 27 others in freezers.

The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs revoked the funeral home’s license and shut it down.

The discovery at the Perry Funeral Home comes after police found the remains of 10 fetuses and one infant at the Cantrell funeral home, also in the Detroit area.
