Ferris State Football Player Faces Ineligibility

Ferris State University says a football player that has played this year should never have been on the field.

The university says he is not eligible to play this season.

FSU says they have already informed the NCAA about a secondary violation involving a football player and his transfer eligibility certification.

Ferris State has not said who the football player is.

The university says the student athlete’s transfer history was complicated and that the mistake happened from misinterpreting the transfer rules.

Ferris State is working with the NCAA to reinstate his eligibility.

FSU is currently ranked as the No. 2 football team in division two.
