TC Travel Tips: Traverse City Beer Week, Fab Fall Discounts, Santa’s Arrival & Parade
Fall has officially rolled in full-force, taking plenty of events along with it.
Jenny Jenness with Traverse City Tourism is back with more great things happening on Front Street that might peak your interest.
It feels like all weeks are Traverse City Beer Week, there’s generally a lot of good craft beverages, but this is the official one.
Traverse City Beer Week is a celebration of the craft culture from Nov. 9 to 16, peppered with some quirky events to trigger your thirst. The Great Beerd Run 5K at Grand Traverse Resort & Spa, or the Flapjack and Flannel Festival, which are ticketed events.
There’s also lots of free tastings, tours and specials at places you already know and love.
Fab Fall Discounted Lodging Packages
It goes without saying that Traverse City wants anyone coming to enjoy Beer Week to do it thoughtfully and responsibly.
That probably means you need a place to stay overnight, and it happens to be an affordable season for doing so.
Through Dec. 14, Traverse City’s Fab Fall Packages are still in the works, offering discounted lodging, entertainment, food and drink and more.
Santa’s Arrival & Light Parade
This year Santa arrives in Traverse City a little bit early.
The day after TC Beer Week officially wraps up, the Light Parade takes center stage on Front Street with a grand finale of Santa riding in on his fire engine on Saturday, Nov. 17.
Yes, fire engine.
He might even light the big Christmas tree downtown if we sing loud enough with enough holiday cheer.
The parade starts at 5:30 p.m., but make sure you come down early enough to snag some hot cocoa and claim your real estate on Front Street.
All the fine print on events, dates and booking can be found at traversecity.com for more information.
