Car seats save lives, but only if you put them in the car correctly.
And as most parents know, they can be awfully hard to install.
That’s why it’s best to check with the experts.
Parents or caregivers have a perfect opportunity to do that next week.
Spectrum health and the Mecosta-Osceola Great Start Collective are putting on a free car seat safety check clinic on October 16 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. It is at the Big Rapids Department of Public Safety, but you have to make an appointment.
Appointments are requested in order to ensure adequate attention to each person’s safety check. Area residents can schedule a consultation with a certified technician at the upcoming event. To register, visit: , or call: 231.592.9605 (ext. 2040), or text: 616.520.1902.
