Stock Markets Take Major Tumble

Stock markets across the board are making history but not in the best way.

The Dow tumbled more than 830 points on Wednesday.

That’s the third worst drop in history.

The S&P 500 declined for the fifth day in a row and the Nasdaq is down eight percent this month.

Economists say this is because investors are afraid of interest rates going up.

Usually, that’s a sign of a strong economy indicated from unemployment rates being at the lowest level in almost fifty years.

There are also some worries about the Chinese economy due to a trade war between the U.S. and China.

All of these factors are coming together to create a bumpy October for investors.
