Local School Marching Bands Perform at Cadillac High School

A performance of 17 local school bands showed off their style at Cadillac High School on Monday.

The bands performed in front of three judges, playing parts of their routines for the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association Festival next week.

The band review also acts as a learning experience for these budding musicians as they learn from one another and from the judges.

We spoke to one Cadillac High School student about what it is that gets the creative juices flowing.

“The adrenaline of playing all together as a band in front of judges, in front of a crowd when people really enjoy what you are doing and it is kind of fun giving them something to smile about,” said junior Brooke Kleinsorge.

All ticket sales benefit the Cadillac band boosters.
