Centria Autism Services Center Opens in Sault Ste. Marie

A one of kind center in the U.P. just opened up in Sault Ste. Marie.

The Centria Autism Services Center on Ashmun Street had its open house to introduce parents and children to the services they will provide.

Each room serves a different purpose, from one on one focus, to group settings.

Services like these can help children with autism get ahead in life.

“Talking and in full sentences, thriving in general education classrooms, and just living a normal kids life, it’s, it’s just wonderful,” regional clinical director Carrie Gray said.

The center employs eight professionals, but is expected to hire more as the need grows in the community.
