Hook & Hunting: Hunter Safety Classes

Before hunting season begins, many Department of Natural Resources offices are offering required safety classes.

There are two more safety classes available at the Carl T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center in Cadillac.

If you were born on or after January 1 of 1960, you are required to complete this safety course before you get your license.

This course covers many topics like firearm safety, hunting responsibility, first aid and more.

The DNR recommends you sign up before classes fill up.

The last classes available are October 21 and November 3.
