Happy National Voter Registration Day!

Held on the fourth Tuesday of September, National Voter Registration Day aims to bring awareness to ballot initiatives, local elections and voter registration through public events.

In this week’s Tech on Tuesday, we check out how Instagram is helping its community of users register to vote.

to help connect US voters with information they need to get registered. 

Instagram is using ads in Feeds and Stories to provide users with up-to-date information on how to register or update their registration, how to look up their state’s voting rules and more.

On Election Day, Instagram will also provide a custom “I Voted” sticker in the camera, so people can help share their voting stories with family and friends. The sticker will link to a “Get to the Polls” page to help voters find their polling location.

Instagram isn’t the only place you can get information on registering to vote today.
