Lake Man Facing Charges After Standoff With Clare Co. Deputies

A man the Clare County Sheriff’s Office says got in an armed standoff with deputies is now facing a slew of charges.

On Monday deputies were called to a home on Davey Street in Garfield Township.

Deputies say Ronald Moore, of Lake, fired a pistol in the home during a dispute with a woman.

That woman was able to get away and call 911.

Police say Moore barricaded himself in the house.

After several tries to get him to surrender, the sheriff’s office say Moore came out of the home with the gun and threatened to take his own life.

He was eventually arrested and no one was hurt.
