When you call yourself a Yooper, it’s a unique badge you wear with pride.
And now there’s a new unofficial stone catching the eyes of many: Yooperlites.
Posted on the Yooperlites Facebook page are pebbles of sodalite found along the Lake Superior shoreline with a UV flashlight.
The special light gives them that glowing effect.
Brimley’s Erik Rintamaki has been collecting them for a while now and runs the Facebook page, along with some special services for like-minded rock-hounds.
