Tropical Storm Gordon Has Potential to Develop Into Category 1 Hurricane
Millions of people along the Gulf Coast are scrambling Tuesday morning as tropical storm Gordon grows stronger.
The storm is already blasting Florida with 50 mph winds dumping up to four inches of rain.
The National Hurricane Center says Gordon could become a category 1 hurricane before it makes landfall Tuesday.
Warnings are up along the Gulf Coast from Alabama to Louisiana.
The mayor of New Orleans is urging people to evacuate and the governor of Louisiana has already declared a state of emergency.
Many along the coast are already dealing with dangerous conditions.
Gordon is expected to make landfall along the gulf coast Tuesday evening.
