Army Corps of Engineers Awards $2M for Repairs to The Soo Locks

The Army Corps of Engineers awarded a nearly $2 million contract to a Wisconsin company to make major repairs at the Soo Locks.

Roen Salvage Company in Wisconsin got the contract to replace mooring bollards and bollard foundations at the Locks facility.

The work should begin in spring.

The repairs should have minimal effect on shipping traffic, and hopefully wrap up by end of summer 2019.
