Man Police Say Threatened Hospital Sentenced to Jail Time
A man who police say threatened to blow up Munson Medical Center has learned his punishment.
Eric Schemerhorn will spend 120 days in jail.
He was arrested back in February after a nurse told a security guard that he came to the hospital in Traverse City for back pain, and made the threat because he wasn’t being given pain medication.
A jury found Schemerhorn guilty of attempting to make a false report of a threat or bomb.
