A house in Grand Traverse County that was going through renovations caught fire early this morning.
The Grand Traverse Metro Fire Department says they responded to a home on M-72 around 2:00 a.m.
They say when they arrived, the garage was on fire, and the flames were spreading to the house.
Fire crews were short on water, but with the help of backup, it took about 40 minutes to put the fire out.
No one was living at the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
