Meet Constable, a friendly shepherd lab mix that’s worked with kids and is looking for his forever family.
He arrived at the Humane Society of Midland County as a stray and was not reclaimed, so this 8-year-old good boy is seeking his new home and next adventure.
He has worked alongside adolescents in a program that pairs dogs with at-risk youth, so he does well with teens.
This pooch is loving and patient, and HSOMC volunteer Jenna Dunn says not to let his gray muzzle fool you.
“He may be 8 years old, but he still has energy, and he will lay on the couch with you to watch that movie for the rest of the night,” she says. “He is absolutely perfect, we love him.”
Constable was suffering from flea allergies when he came to the shelter, but that’s fixed up and the hair on his back is growing nicely.
The HSOMC requests that any pets previously in the house be brought in for a meet-up with constable first.
And the shelter has a special deal for dogs seen on 9&10 news—mention seeing constable on 9&10 News and his $75 adoption fee will be knocked down to $40.
And if you’re looking for a cat, the shelter is having a big promotion until August 22.
Adult cats are free and kittens 2 for $30 or $20 a piece and “bully breed” dogs are all $50.
