Cooking With Chef Hermann: Grilled Pork Chops with Plums, Halloumi and Lemon
Grilled Pork Chops with Plums, Halloumi and Lemon
- 4 TB Olive Oil
- 1 tsp Honey
- 4 one inch Pork Chops (Can also use Pork Tenderloin)
- 4 ripe red or black plums, sliced thick
- 1 lemon, de-seeded quartered
- 8 oz Halloumi Cheese, sliced into ½ pieces
- 2 TB Oregano leaves
- 1 tsp Red pepper flakes
- Salt and black pepper
Heat grill with medium high heat. Place pork chops and 2 TB Oil in a bag, season with salt and red black pepper. Press out excess air and massage oil into the chops.
Place plums, lemon, Halloumi cheese and 2 TB oil on baking sheet. Toss to coat. Season with salt and red pepper.
Grill Chops until internal temperature reads 145. Remove from grill and let rest before slicing.
Grill the plums, lemons and cheese until plums just start to release their juices.
Cut pork away from the bone in slices, top with the plum mixture and chopped oregano.
