A third summit will take place between North Korean Dictator Kim Jong-un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in before the end of next month.
It comes after nearly two hours of talks between senior officials from both Koreas in a border village early Monday morning.
They did not set an exact date or venue for the summit, which is expected to focus on the denuclearization of North Korea.
In a statement, senior officials said they reviewed ways to set up agreements made at the previous two summits in April and May.
