Concrete Candle Holder

WHAT YOU NEED:

Small non-porous container of desired shape and depth.
Cup or small object to create depression for candle.
Bucket
Stirring stick or concrete mixing attachment for your drill
Concrete
Water

HOW TO MAKE IT:

In your bucket, combine a few handfuls of pre-mixed concrete with water, adding the water carefully.
Mix until the concrete attains the consistency of chunky peanut butter.
Pour a bit of the mix into your container and tap to eliminate air bubbles.
In the center of the container, place the cup, which should be weighted down slightly to prevent it from floating.
Pour the remainder of your concrete around the cup and tap lightly, smoothing the surface to the desired finish.
In several days, your finished candle holder can be removed from its form!
Tune in next week for part two, when we’ll teach you how to pour your own candle!
