Woman Takes Plea Deal After Her Dog Attacks, Kills Another Dog
A woman whose dog killed another dog has taken a plea deal.
The Leelanau Sheriff’s Department says a woman was walking a poodle on a leash last month.
That’s when they say a pit bull mix, not on a leash, attacked and killed the poodle, dragging it under a car.
Wednesday, the pit bull’s owner, Stephanie Rancour pleaded guilty to not buying a dog license, while a charge of trespassing was dropped.
She will not spend any time in jail, but will have to pay fees and restitution.
