Coast Guard Rescues 3 People From Lake Superior Island

The Coast Guard rescued three people from a Lake Superior island.

Air Station Traverse City got a call Monday night about a dehydrated woman on Isle Royale slipping in and out of consciousness.

The woman was hiking with two other people.

They used a satellite communicator to call for help in one of the most remote parts of the island.

The Coast Guard picked them up shortly after midnight and say all three appeared to be dehydrated.

They were flown off the island to meet EMS.
