TART Trails Receives $2.4M Donation to Help Connect Traverse City to Charlevoix
A trail that will soon connect Traverse City and Charlevoix was recognized by the state with a donation of $2.4 million.
It’s a 46 mile non-motorized trail, and this money will help get the plans rolling.
Wednesday, organizers celebrated their 15th year plan in the making, now one step closer to being complete.
“What we see this trailing doing besides being an amazing asset to the state is really truly being a great benefit to the local communities so they can get out, they can bike, they can walk, they get to places they want to go,” TART Trails executive director, Julie Clark said.
This is also in part to local and state partners like MDOT, the DNR and state elected officials.
