Up and Coming New App RateGigs Transforms Feedback on Live Music Events

Introducing the new app RateGigs—which allows users to rate and review artists, venues and festivals.

Spencer Lebel is the app’s designer, a recent graduate from Central Michigan University, who says it launched just a couple weeks ago.

“We like to think of it as the yelp or rotten tomatoes for live music,” Lebel says. “It gives music lovers the ability to rate and review artists, venues and festivals and share their experience with the live music community.”

Lebel competed in CMU’s New Venture Competition in 2017, where RateGigs won “Best Lifestyle Venture” and received $5,000 towards its growth.

The CMU graduate says they are listening to users feedback, and will continue visiting music festivals to introduce RateGigs to festival goers.

RateGigs is available for free download on the Apple IOS app store.
