Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Brian Calley Campaigns in Emmet, Otsego Counties

Lt. Governor and gubernatorial hopeful Brian Calley spent the day campaigning across Northern Michigan.

The Republican made stops in Emmet and Otsego counties, reaching out to partisan voters during this final stretch.

We caught up with him in Gaylord, where he ate lunch with constituents at the famous Sugar Bowl Restaurant.

Despite recent polls that show Attorney General Bill Schuette leading the Republican race, Calley says he’s confident heading to the polls.

“I’m very confident. We’ve seen tightening at the polls, the last two primary polls that came out, I believe had it between about 7 points, that shows a lot of growth and a lot of momentum in my direction,” said Calley. “All these endorsements over the last several weeks just build the momentum more and more, and I’m feeling more confident than I ever have.”
