Dogs Celebrate Summer at Osceola County’s 1st Bark in the Park
Dozens of pups enjoyed the dog days of summer at the Marion Fairgrounds Saturday.
It was all part of Osceola County’s first ever Bark in the Park.
There were plenty of things for dogs to enjoy at the event, from a costume parade to an agility course.
Owners could also meet with pet and nursing specialists, see demonstrations from trained dogs, and even win a football signed by Michigan State University coach Mark Dantonio if they donated a bag of dog food to the Osceola County Animal Shelter.
“I like that there’s a lot of dogs out here,” said Michelle Brannan, who brought her dog to Bark in the Park. “He gets to sniff around and visit some dogs. There’s a lot of vendors out here that have a lot of things for him. It’s a nice day.”
Bark in the Park was sponsored by 9&10 News, along with the Osceola County Commission on Aging and Autumnwood of McBain.
