Habitat for Humanity Welcomes Fife Lake Family Home
“Now we have a permanent residence; it’s a huge relief.”
The Habitat for Humanity Grand Traverse Region welcomed the Nelson family to their new home Wednesday.
The non-profit hosted a home dedication for the family in Fife Lake.
The Nelson’s are now homeowners.
Their new home is one of two projects habitat’s worked on in the area.
It was built almost entirely by volunteers, with help from the Nelsons.
They had to put in 275 hours of work on the home to move in and they say Wednesday made it all worth it.
“It’s been a godsend didn’t think we would have a house of our own and here it is, it’s great,” Shawn Nelson said.
