Suspect Arrested After Police Find Drugs, Gun, Cash Following Car Crash

It started with a car crash.

Then police found a lot of guns and drugs in Crawford County.

Police got the call on July 7 of a driver crashing into parked cars, repeatedly.

They say the driver was on drugs.

It happened in the parking lot of Spike’s Keg ‘O’ Nails.

Police say the driver is a member of the Northmen Motorcycle Club and was in town for a meeting.

In the car they found seven guns, thousands of dollars in cash, and drugs including meth, cocaine, and marijuana.

A tow truck driver was called to the scene to take care of the car and waited two hours while state police canine units searched it.

“If they didn’t have that dog, they would have never found the drugs, and to make our life simple make our kids’ life safer, I’m glad it’s gone. I’m glad that we have capabilities in this town to get that kind of stuff off the road,” said Walter Weller.

The man driving the car was taken to the hospital for treatment.

He will be back in court for an arraignment on Aug. 8.
