Michigan Attorney General Files 56 Charges Against Conway Cafe Owner

The state attorney general filed 56 felony charges against a Northern Michigan cafe owner, accusing of her of keeping sales tax and not paying her own taxes. 

Angela Parks owns Parks Place Cafe in Conway.

The attorney general’s office says she collected more than $70,000 in sales tax from customers since 2013, but did not file sales tax returns for her restaurant.

She is also facing charges for not filing her personal income tax returns for five years.

Parks will be back in court next week.
