Detroit Auto Show to Take Place in June Beginning 2020

A major change is coming for the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

The annual event will take place in June instead of January, starting in 2020.

Organizers say the new schedule will allow automakers and suppliers to deliver dynamic exhibits outdoors, as well as inside the Cobo Center.

We’re told the change will also help cut costs.

The show’s executive director says the change won’t affect the nature of the popular event that “Detroit will continue to be a global stage for some of the world’s most significant and iconic vehicle reveals.”
