Man Recharged With Embezzlement in Grand Traverse County

A man once accused of stealing from a Grand Traverse County boat dealership only to have the charges dropped, is now facing embezzlement charges once again.

In May 2017, Gregory Whiteford was charged with stealing more than $100,000 over the course of five years from Traverse Bay Marine while working as a bookkeeper.

Last July the charges were dropped without prejudice.

Friday he was charged with the same crimes as well as writing fake checks to himself.
