Hook & Hunting: Bear Hunting Clinics

If you’re looking to hone your hunting skills and learn all there is to know about bear hunting, this summer is your chance.

Three bear hunting clinics will be held at the Carl T. Johnson Hunting and Fishing Center in Cadillac in the next month.

It is run by the DNR along with experienced hunters and covers everything from rules and regulations, stand placement and baiting. 

The DNR says it’s one of the best ways to learn the skills needed.

“Hopefully, by the end of the one day class you leave here with the knowledge that you need to be successful and that you are able to harvest the bear of your dreams, whatever it may be,” said Edward Shaw, DNR park interpreter.

The class is $30 and registration is required.
