It’s What’s Trending Wednesday on Michigan This Morning and we have a story about a dog owner that goes to extreme limits for her own.

For many, pets are considered family.

That’s why one couple in New Jersey is flying across the world to help save their sick dog.

Remy is an 8-year-old Cavalier King Charles.

She’s diagnosed with degenerative heart failure and was given 6 to 18 months to live.

Her vet said the only surgeon who could help Remy live longer is in Japan.

The surgery costs $17,000, not including travel.

The New Jersey couple borrowed from their 401k and took a month off work to save Remy.

After 7 hours of a successful surgery, Remy’s owners to hope to have many more years with her.
