A choir camp focused on lifting women up and giving them confidence behind their voice.

“The camp is called Strong Women, Strong Voices and it’s kind of the heart of the entire project of us empowering women, becoming stronger as a group, being a part of something bigger and really becoming stronger through music,” Camryn Calderwood, senior camp singer.

This camp will provide them with three days of constant advice and encouragement all through song.

“Music is a lifetime commitment and it’s something that you can be a part of from the beginning of your life to the end of your life and it can enrich your life throughout the entire thing,” says Calderwood.

Senior singer, Daphne Kilbourne says camps like this is life changing.

“I know how moving being in a women’s choir is so I think it’s important that everyone has that experience,” says Kilbourne.

“We really feel like it’s going to offer something to everyone at every ability level and were doing really high-quality music and we’re going to be growing together,” says Lindsay Wills, Camp Director. “We hope they walk away having a stronger sense of self and a stronger sense of community and we feel that this is going to provide both of those.”
