Teens Accused of Throwing Rock Off I-75 Overpass Take Plea Deals
Family members of the man killed by a rock thrown off a highway overpass in Genesee County are speaking out after four of the five teens charged with the crime took plea deals.
The teens were charged with second-degree murder, conspiracy and malicious destruction of property after investigators say they threw a six pound rock off an I-75 overpass last fall.
The rock went through the windshield of a vehicle driving by, killing Kenny White who was a passenger inside.
Alexander Miller, Mikadyn Payne, Mark Sekelsky and Trevor Gray took plea deals in court Monday.
In exchange, their charges of second-degree murder were reduced to manslaughter.
The fifth teen, Kyle Angler, was not in court Monday due to a family emergency.
His second-degree murder charge remains.
