McLaren Northern Michigan Names Heart and Vascular Center in Honor of Major Donor, U.P. Native
McLaren Northern Michigan hospital is dedicating their nationally renowned heart and vascular center in honor of a generous donor and U.P. native.
The heart and vascular center is now named the Robert W. Considine Heart and Vascular Center.
Considine credits Cardiovascular Specialist Dr. Louis Cannon for giving him a new lease on life.
He hopes his $4 million donation will continue to help others for years to come.
“The lives they’ll save here with a new hospital is going to be untold, and this area needs it. I owe my longevity to people like Dr. Cannon,” Considine, said.
Considine’s donation will help fund a new lab, new equipment and new robotic technology, as well as establish a new endowment fund.
