Website Launches to Help Those With Opioid Addictions in Northern Michigan

A new website aims to tackle the opioid crisis here in Northern Michigan.

Northern Michigan Regional Entity just launched Drug Free Northern Michigan.

It’s loaded with information for families, parents or those seeking help for addiction.

It’s full of information on safe disposal locations for prescription medication, where to find counseling or treatment services, and general information on the epidemic.

“With the opioid use, really epidemic in the nation, this is a good place to go, we can get factual information out for folks, Sara Sircely with NMRE said.

Help is available for folks, we want to help people, they’re not alone.”

NMRE is responsible for coordinating prevention treatment and recovery services in 21 counties in the Northern Lower Peninsula.
