The opioid crisis is an epidemic across the country—spurring on efforts to catalyze change in Northern Michigan.
If you want to get involved, Addiction Treatment Services in Traverse City is hosting a conference called Rethinking Addiction Through Community Engagement on September 13.
Kate Kerr, with Addiction Treatment Services, says up to 400 people can come learn how to drive community change for addiction.
“The opioid crisis is top of mind for so many not just in our community, but across the nation,” Kerr says. “We want those families who have lost a child, we want those individuals who have struggled to obtain recovery, we want people across the community to share their stories and we want people to get involved.”
