Volunteer Diver Dies While Attempting to Rescue Thai Soccer Team
The race to rescue the Thai soccer team found alive continues.
A volunteer diver has died in that effort.
Rescue crews say there’s a limited amount of time left to get the boys out before heavy rains return to the region.
Time is running out and so is oxygen as crews work frantically to pump water out of the flooded cave where 12 boys and their soccer coach remain trapped.
With so many workers in the underground complex, authorities are rushing to install a three mile long oxygen tube.
With monsoon rains in the forecast this weekend, flood waters are expected to once again rise.
There is also worry the group does not have the endurance to make the near five hour long trip out of the cave system.
Some are showing signs of weakness and malnutrition and most do not know how to swim.
