Rough Waters in West Grand Traverse Bay Cause Problems for Boats

The high winds are causing problems for boats on west Grand Traverse Bay.

The water has risen enough to enough partially sink a couple of them.

Some have sustained severe damage.

Many of the boats have been pushed up to the beach and with the boats bumping together it is causing even more damage.

We’re told the same issue is happening at Clinch Park where one woman said her boat is completely underwater.

The Grand Traverse Fire Department says since no lives are at risk it is up to the boat owner to take of their boats.

Grand Traverse 911 says if you have a boat near the volleyball courts downtown you’re advised to check on it.
