CDC Shows Proper Steps Dealing with Pesky Mosquitoes this Season
While you’re out enjoying the sunshine here in Northern Michigan, make sure you’re taking the proper steps to ward off mosquitoes.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends using EPA approved insect repellants containing deet, picaridin, IR 35-35, oil of lemon eucalyptus or 2-undecanone.
All of which are safe for children and pregnant women.
If you are bitten by a mosquito, it’s important to look for symptoms of west nile or zika virus.
Symptoms include a fever, joint pain or a headache.
If you experience any of those symptoms after a mosquito bite, see a doctor right away.
