AAA Encouraging Drivers to Plan Ahead Traveling for 4th of July

An estimated 1.6 million Michiganders will be hitting the road Tuesday to celebrate the 4th of July.
AAA is warning drivers they will be paying more for gas and that this is one of the deadliest travel times.
With an abundance of vehicles on the road for the holiday week and an increased risk for drunk drivers, AAA encourages people to plan ahead when drinking and to be extra cautious for drunk drivers.
Gas prices are up 62 cents compared to this time last year; the highest it’s been during this time in four years.
AAA says crude oil prices are to blame and they’re expected to increase in the coming months.
