V.P. Pence Concludes Latin America Tour, Immigration Message Stays the Same
Vice President Mike Pence is back in Washington after a week-long trip through Latin America where he doubled down on the zero-tolerance immigration policy.
V.P. Pence delivered a tough talk Thursday to the president of El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala.
“This exodus must end. It is a threat to the security of the United States, and just as we respect your border and your sovereignty, we insist you respect ours.”
Some who have crossed the border say they were told it would be easier to get into the U.S. with a child.
