Search Continues By Air, Ground for Suspect in Osceola County Armed Bank Robbery

Deputies are still searching for a man after they say he robbed an Osceola County bank at gunpoint

The call about an armed robbery came in just before noon Friday, and we’ve been on the scene working to get you bring you the newest information since.

Deputies say a man walked in, showed a gun, demanded money and took off with money at the Lake-Osceola State Bank in Tustin

Deputies along with state police have been on scene for close to six hours as they continue working to track down an armed robber.

“This is rapidly evolving. We’re acting on the information we’re able to ascertain,”

Investigators are combing the area around the Lake-Osceola State Bank in Tustin by foot and by air.

They’re working to find a man who police say robbed the bank at gunpoint Friday afternoon

“The suspect possibly came north on rails to trails on a bicycle on the White Pine Trail before he made contact here. So we’re asking for individuals who might have seen this individual possibly on the trail, he would have stood out, it’s a very hot day. He was wearing a lot of clothing blue jeans and a coat,”

Police are still working to determine how much money the robber got away with, but no one inside the bank was hurt.

After the robbery the Osceola County undersheriff tells us the robber took off to the north on the White Pine Trail and he was possibly in the Leroy area earlier Friday.

“So again if anyone has any information and they think, ‘well that doesn’t meet the timeline, or no it can’t be involved,’ it may well so please still contact us,”
