MSP Investigating Death of 1-Year-Old in Gaylord; Man Arrested for Child Abuse

Update: De’Marco Pryor-Mccovery was charged with first degree child abuse Friday afternoon.

He is currently at the Otsego County jail on a $500,000 bond.

State police are investigating the death of a 1-year-old in Gaylord.

State police say the infant’s mother’s boyfriend brought the infant to the hospital Thursday.

That’s where the 1-year-old was pronounced dead.

Troopers have now arrested that 22-year-old man for first degree child abuse.

He is expected to be charged Friday.

We will have a crew in the courtroom for that arraignment.
