Federal Government Launches Review of Migrant Facility Conditions

The federal government is now launching a review of the conditions at shelters housing migrant children along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is caring for about 12,000 migrant kids right now.

About 2,000 of them were separated from their parents after illegally crossing the border because of the Trump Administration’s zero tolerance policy.

A federal judge is now ordering the government to reunite those kids with their families within the next month.
