Cadillac Students Start Shoe Drive to Benefit Developing Nations

Two students in Cadillac are looking for shoes.

And it’s to help people in developing nations.

The shoe drive started Thursday in Cadillac, and runs through August.

Then all the shoes will be purchased by the Funds2Orgs company and shipped to developing counties.

From there, most of the money will be sent to help people in these developing nations with food and housing.

It’s something participating businesses are glad to be a part of.

“We know that human trafficking affects all ages. It’s a global problem. It happens here in our home area, in Michigan small communities, so it’s really important and we’re so happy to be a part of this,” says manager of Platinum Company

Anyone can donate gently worn, used or new shoes at Platinum Noir or Family Health Care in Cadillac.
