Woman Enters Plea Deal After Accused of Stealing Donation Box from Cadillac Dairy Queen
A woman accused of trying to steal a donation box from the Cadillac Dairy Queen has entered a plea deal in the case.
Jessica Johnson was arrested in May after surveillance video caught her picking up a box full of donations for Children’s Miracle Network.
She was initially charged with trying to steal from a building, and for being a four time repeat offender.
In court Monday Johnson pleaded guilty to the habitual offender charge and no contest to having meth.
In exchange, her four time habitual offender charge was dropped to a two time offender charge, and her attempted larceny charge was dropped.
Johnson’s sentencing date has yet to be scheduled.
And police say Scott Yates was with Johnson at the time of the crime.
He faces drug charges after meth was found in his car, along with charges for being a four time repeat offender.
He will be back in court in July for a pre-trial.
