2nd Annual Summer Camp Blast

School’s out for the summer but that doesn’t mean learning has to be over.

Michigan State University Extension’s 4-H program in Clare County has teamed up with Mid Michigan Community College for hands on learning at their 2018 Summer Camp Blast.

The camp is from Wednesday until Friday.

Kids ages 7-12 will be able to dive into new life skills like fishing with the DNR, sewing, and learning how to think like an engineer constructing origami.

“We like to have opportunities for kids to get involved with different things in the summer and this camp is a great hands on learning. Gets them out doing things, learning some new skills, skills that we hope they’ll take on when they go into classrooms in the fall,” said MSU Extension Educator, Michelle Neff.

Kids participating don’t have to be in 4-H.

Registration for the camp is closed, but there will be more opportunities throughout the year.
