Charlevoix County deputies are investigating after they say a prized sculpture was stolen from in front of the Beaver Island District Library.

They say this sculpture was taken from the library last weekend.

It honors the late author Ernest Hemingway, who spent his summers growing up in Northern Michigan.

We’re told by deputies that locals are offering a cash reward for the sculpture’s return.

If you have any information on where it is, or who took it, please call the Charlevoix County Sheriff’s Office in Beaver Island.

Their number is (231) 448-2700.
